The purpose of this non-partisan voter guide is to educate voters in November and beyond. The issues on this questionnaire have not yet been endorsed by the Our Children, Our Future Campaign - and many people within our campaign disagree about them. These questions were chosen through an open process (including multiple mass e-mails, numerous Facebook posts, and over a dozen community meetings), where we ask West Virginians to assemble an issue team and put forward a policy idea of interest to them. Those teams that step forward are then given the opportunity to ask one question on the voter guide. View the complete list of questions here.

For the last 6 years, citizen leaders like you have come together (from across 170+ organizations, schools, unions and congregations!) to form an annual platform of issues that matter to West Virginia children and families. Every year, we take those issues to the legislature - through candidate forums, policy conferences, and two annual advocacy days at the Capitol. And we win! 28 of our issues have become law - from raising the minimum wage to expanding school breakfast programs to juvenile justice reform. Every one of those issues started with a West Virginian who had the courage to get organized, build a team, and speak out.
Our Children, Our Future is a statewide campaign to make West Virginia the best place in the world to live, work, and raise a family - no matter who you are. We are thankful to the 170+ partners who have played a leadership role in the campaign over the years and to the dozens of community groups and individual leaders who stepped forward to advance these issue questions.
